Safeguarding

As a community of Christian faith, Maldon United reformed Church is committed to creating and maintaining programmes, facilities and a community in which members, friends and volunteers can worship, learn and work together in an atmosphere free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, exploitation or intimidation. The Church is rightly a place of loving pastoral care and concern.

As a Church our aim is to model the example of Christ, to be grounded in the love of Christ in all our relationships. We are all made in the image of God and Christ came that we should have life in all its fullness. Therefore everyone has the right to find nourishment for their Christian pilgrimage in a safe place. This means that:

  • Dignity should be respected
  • Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated
  • Every effort will be made to offer support to those who need it
  • Allegations will be taken seriously and dealt with promptly and confidentially following the Church Safeguarding Policy guidelines.
